Andrea Moharos, the publisher’s former marketing group manager, has been appointed marketing manager at Ringier Hungary. In line with the matrix operating structure typical of a media company, in the past few years the three business unit managers and two marketing group managers of the publisher have jointly formed the decision-making circle for marketing communication activities. With the creation of the new position of Head of Marketing in March 2024, the new head will manage and direct all advertising activities related to the publisher’s digital and print publications, continuing to work closely with the publisher’s business areas.
Andrea Moharos is not a newcomer at Ringier, she had worked for its predecessor, Ringier Axel Springer Hungary, and formerly Axel Springer Budapest. She started her career in 2003 at Zöld Újság Zrt, where after a few years she moved to the marketing department of Világgazdaság, with a special focus on the organisation of the brand’s conference series. Following the merge of Ringier and Axel Springer, she was involved in the marketing of media products in the publisher’s portfolio, developing product strategies and preparing marketing roadmaps in line with the business plan. Her main responsibilities included the definition of the subscriber marketing concept, the definition of the in-store marketing strategy and process management. In 2018, she was appointed Head of Marketing Communications for the women’s magazine Kiskegyed, as well as for the gastro, home and TV magazines, and in 2021 she became Head of the Print Products Marketing team.
She currently leads a team of thirteen people who manage the advertising activities of all digital and print publications of Ringier Hungary: GLAMOUR, GLAMOUR-days, Blikk, Blikk Women, Kiskegyed and its online magazine, the brand extensions of these women’s magazines, Sportal. hu, EgészségKalauz.hu, AutoBild, Tvr-hét and seven other TV magazines, Noizz.hu, as well as the marketing activities of the publisher’s bookazine product line.
The appointment does not affect the media company’s corporate communications activities, which will continue to be handled by a separate department within the publishing house, headed by Eszter Varga, Head of Corporate Communications.
