Technology Connects – Ringier Hungary held its 1st TECHXPO event in Budapest

Between November 21-24 2024, TECHXPO Budapest 2024 event was held for the first time, organized jointly by Ringier Hungary and IT Business media companies. Over four days, the event focused on the technological trends and digital developments shaping our present and future, featuring conference presentations, a professional exhibition, and weekend family programs. The expo took place in the industrial spaces of Millenáris Park venue in Budapest, covering a total area of 2,500 square meters. Over the four days, hundreds of visitors attended daily, with 14 exhibiting companies showcasing their brands and more than 60 Hungarian and international experts delivering presentations to the tech-affine audience.

TECHXPO’s stage featured representatives from all sectors: Among the speakers were Gerd Leonhard German futurist expert; Hong-Eng Koh, Huawei’s Scientific Director; Péter Szabó, CEO of Microsoft Hungary; and Miklós Vecsei from the civil sector, Vice President of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service. Minister Antal Rogán also gave a presentation on the Hungarian government’s recently announced digital citizenship program.

As a publisher of digital and print media products, Ringier Hungary ventured into a new area with the organization of TECHXPO, as both the theme and format represent novelties in the company’s portfolio.

“As a media company, it is both our opportunity and responsibility to showcase examples that respond to the challenges of today and the future, offering solutions for a better, more sustainable, competitive, and fairer business, natural, and social environment. That’s why our event’s motto is: Technology Connects. We aimed to create a platform that fills a gap: not merely highlighting trends from the perspective of a single profession but crossing industries and considering multiple aspects from media to education, industry, healthcare, and public administration. I believe it’s essential that technology, due to its rapid development, does not divide but connects communities and professions. Instead of creating those left behind, we should foster cooperation. The festival-like public days complemented the business and diplomatic events, bringing new technological solutions closer to the broader audience, helping them navigate and prepare for the accelerating pace of innovation, and allowing them to discover, embrace, and adopt the latest digital products and services,” summarized Tibor Kovács, Managing Director of Ringier Hungary.
