Ringier Hungary is reorganizing its printing activities and completely using external service providers

With a new printing service provider, Ringier Hungary continues the production of the Blikk daily newspaper and six types of TV guides. These sheets were produced in the Kecskemét printing house owned by Ringier in recent years. The publisher's management has decided that the resources that would be required for the necessary development of its printing technology and machine park and its economic operation in the long term, will be used primarily for the further strengthening and expansion of its digital media offer in the future.

Ringier entrusts new, external service providers with the printing of the Blikk daily newspaper and its supplements, as well as six types of TV guides, and closes its printing operations in Kecskemét. In the future, the Blikk daily and its supplements will be produced in the country’s most modern and largest-capacity printing house, owned by Mediaworks Hungary Ltd., while the production of the relevant program newspapers will be transferred to the Komáromi Nyomda s.r.o. plant.

The publication of the papers will continue without interruption with the usual periodicals.

The dominant part of Ringier Hungary’s print portfolio – such as GLAMOUR, GEO, AutoBild magazines, the publisher’s bookazine volumes, Kiskegyed and Blikk Nők weeklies, Tvr-hét and Színes Kéthetes TV guides – has never before been produced at the Ringier printing house in Kecskemét, so these publications are not affected by the change.
